Remembering Uncle Billy

by John on Aug.07, 2008, under Latest News

So I have been kinda quiet on this since the weekend, truth be told I was still trying to put correct words together. More after the break.

Losing Uncle Billy was rough. He meant a lot to me; he did to everyone and always will. My biggest regret is not getting to Texas sooner. I am sorry it had to take this to get me back to there. But, in our own ways we “got through it” together. Having all the family there was nice, seeing everyone, spending time, enjoying each other. Being able to, and having the ability to make a DVD celebrating his life got me through it I think. Being able to take the time, but also hear the stories as we sorted through photos was nice. It gave me a calm about the whole thing.

I know somewhere, somehow, Uncle Bill is with me and always will be. I am sure he is still playing blackjack and it’s always coming up 21 now. :)
