He was also part of 566th and all the CO’s were listed here: http://www.389thbombgroup.com/squadron_cos_566.php
More to follow as I fiind it. If anyone has any ideas on where to inquire for medals, rank insignia, etc, please let me know. I finally got the discharge papers from Uncle John so now I can really move forward on this.

Vote For Our Cat Tomorrow!

Hey all, The Island Packet, our local newspaper, runs a contest every year which benefits the local Humane Societies. Well this year we not only have the cat, we also had my daughter to take some photos.
See the photo we entered below! (Click on it for a larger view)
Starting tomorrow, Monday October 19th, you can view the contest and vote for us! It’s $5 to enter, but ALL proceeds go to the local Humane Societies. Please help, because if the humane societies don’t help animals, they go to the county which does Euthanize as needed.
So please visit The Island Packet (click here) for the contest tomorrow and look for out kitty! Thanks all!
Long Overdue.

Last year my Uncle Billy past away. His ashes are now scattered over Lake Tahoe, one of the places he LOVED. Today I was googling around a bit, and stumbled back upon the same site I used for background music from his band the Century’s. A few people have replied to my post since then, and it was touching to see the replies. I dunno if it was the google searching, or listening to SXSW (That’s South By Southwest Music Fesitval for you rookies, from Austin, TX) music all day, but it feels good to think about him from time to time.
I’ll be adding this link to the family links here, but for those that want to go direct, here is the link.
We miss and love you Billy.
